NOUN. the exploration of the unknown; the pursuit of discovery; the sharing of knowledge

Teknos aims to bring the amazing work of TJ students right to your fingertips. We aim to explore how science intersects the human experience in every aspect, and the astounding research of young scientists is the perfect medium to do so.

Founded in 1989, Teknos is Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology's premier science journal designed to showcase the scientific accomplishments of the school body. Teknos is an entirely student-driven endeavor: every May, we publish a journal consisting of student-written papers and articles, compiled by a staff of student editors. You may find an innovative new treatment for Alzheimer's developed by a Siemens finalist, or an exposé on anthropogenic habitat destruction written by one of our own staff journalists. Our vision is fueled by the endless curiosity and passion of our peers, along with a deeply ingrained desire to probe the world around us. Thank you for visiting our page - we are delighted to have you on this journey.
